Swing Shift

Before I pass out from this May heat wave that's hit the East Coast, I thought I'd share some captures from another movie I've recently found and loved. I hope you don't mind how often I bombard you with these! It's about women who went to work during WWII, and it's full of just enough kissing and dancing that it leaves you feeling pretty darn good.

  1. I adore this film! I've watched it like 10 times too because I can watch it on my Roku :o)

  2. I want to see this film so much!!
From Carys of La Ville Inconnue

  3. It has been years since I last saw this and now I SO want to see it again.

I always find these movies super inspiring, and it is especially helpful during these heat waves (Wisconsin is having one too) to think about the women of past generations. Oh! The cooking and cleaning and lack of air conditioning. Inspiring, indeed.

I like your movie posts. They help me to look at films that I've seen in a new light and also makes me want to see ones that I haven't yet viewed.

  4. I think I've seen this - but should probably see it again :)

  5. That movie depressed me a lot. Otherwise I loved the outfits in it!!

  6. I actually enjoyed that movie :) The outfits are so great! Thanks for sharing!

  7. I've never heard of that movie but judging by your screen captures it looks good :)

  8. Oh! I didn't realize that that comment on my blog was from you! Crazy to think that you read it :DD
I found the photo on We Heart It, as I do all of the uncredited pictures on my blog (there's a little disclaimer on the side!).

  9. your blog is so very lovely!
i loooove vintage clothing too, especially if they look like they would be from Victorian era.

  10. I want to see all these vintage inspiring films you post. Looks like there is plenty of pretty outfit inspiration in this one.

  11. Oh I am actually loving the film reviews and all the captures. Please, please do Anne of Green Gables!

  12. Such sweet inspiration. I'm so glad I found your adorable blog... I'm a fan, and you are too cute!
